Breton Hydra
Breton Hydra is a 5-axis waterjet cutting center designed for processing natural stone, quartzites, ceramics, and compound stone.
With its rigid bridge structure, integrated tank, and galvanized slat table, it delivers outstanding stability, reliable slab protection, and safe operation.
The ultra-compact head with advanced kinematics (C ±540°, A ±60°) makes it possible to perform complex geometries and extreme angled cuts with tolerances up to ±0.1 mm.
The exclusive MiterWave Touch system continuously adjusts axis positioning to deliver perfect 45° cuts, even on thin or uneven materials.
The KMT Streamline SL-VI pump comes standard, delivering up to 3,800 bar / 60,000 psi for fast, precise cutting and reliable productivity even in the most demanding applications. Rounding out the equipment, the electronic dosing unit with Safety System automatically stops the jet when abrasive is absent, protecting the workpiece and lowering operating costs.
Control is achieved via the ZM Technologies or Taglio Logotag CAD/CAM software, automating the entire programming process: from DXF import to CNC-ready ISO code.

Take A Closer Look
With generous axis travels of C (±540°) and A (±60°), the Breton Hydra effortlessly manages complex shapes and extreme angled cuts—including corners and conical holes—maintaining tolerances up to ±0.1 mm (with compensation) across a 4×2 m area. Standard features include an intrinsically safe ON/OFF pneumatic valve, amixing chamber for a consistent and durable jet, plus a focusing tube set (one main, one spare).
Supplied as standard, it ensures fast, high-quality cutting at pressures up to 3,800 bar / 60,000 psi. The system reduces abrasive consumption, provides reliable performance even under heavy-duty conditions, and streamlines maintenance, helping to optimize operating costs and overall productivity.
The exclusive decimal surface-reading system interacts directly with the numerical control, adjusting axis positions in real time to maintain the correct cutting angle at all times. This technology allows for perfect 45° miter cuts, even on thin or uneven materials.
All eco-certified
The system automatically halts the water flow when no abrasive is detected, preventing damage or breakage of the workpiece. This helps minimise waste and rework, protect the integrity of the material, and maintain continuous production, while significantly reducing operating costs.
